This powder horn is finished with a warm brown patina on the body and tip. The tip has a raised end to secure a strap, with a decorative engrailed ring, with a engrailed border to the horn body. The base has a scrimshaw border. The horn measures 12-1/4" around the outside curve from the tip to the end of the wood base. A iron staple is fitted to the base of the horn. Small wood and iron pegs secure the base to the horn. A turned wooden stopper is fitted and secured with a woven lanyard.
