This beautiful hand made Buffalo powder horn measures 13-3/4" long, as measured around the outer curve from the tip to the base. The base is angle drilled with two holes for leather strap. The neck is shaped with two large steps, either could be used to secure a strap. The body of the buffalo horn is a satin black in color. Buffalo horn differs from cow horn and the smooth hand scraped finish displays some of the natural grain of the horn along the body. The 3-1/2" diameter base plug is stained to a deep red with brass nails and incised design.
