This horn kit includes a real cow horn which has been cleaned and polished. Horns will be in the 9 to 11" range measured around the outside curve, color will vary, We recommend polishing this horn with lengthwise strokes, using 0000 steel wool or very fine sandpaper, to dull it. The turned wood base plug is turned to an approximate fit and will require sanding and staining. Gun stock stains and finishes are ideal. The stopper may be sanded to fit snugly. Brass nails are included. Drill tiny pilot holes in your horn before driving the tiny brass nails, to avoid the risk of splitting the horn. Instructions included.
