Copied from a rifle made and signed by Jacob Stoudenour, 1795-1863. Shown in Gunsmiths of Bedford, Fulton, Huntingdon & Somerset Counties, this is a classic Bedford County longrifle style.
A cam-open spring, spring mounting screw, and simple instructons are included. The steel pawl is mounted under the lid to serve as the cam. The spring is tempered steel.
The unplated slotted steel wood screws are correct, included, ready for installation.
