Wax cast steel, our 3-1/2" long lever is modeled after originals used on early Colonial era longrifles, with sliding wooden patchboxes. This simple, clever, reliable latch mechanism is the choice of today's best longrifle builders, used on fine longrifles.
It fits in a slot, under the patchbox lid. The tip is inserted in a retaining slot. The knob, at rear, is notched to engaged the buttplate. It must be lifted to unlatch the sliding lid.
Made in the U.S.A., from wax cast spring steel, this is a well made patchbox release latch spring kit, that will serve you well.
