Our graceful non-inlet John Armstrong stock will make an attractive Maryland longrifle, if trimmed in brass, or a Tennessee longrifle if trimmed in iron. Cut for a 13/16” straight octagon 42” barrel channel, rod hole drilled full depth, plain maple. Right hand, only. The forend is shaped. The buttplate is uncut we recommend our John Armstrong buttplate, or hand inlet one of our many other choices..Lock panels are shaped, with an uncut lock mortise. Hand inlet your favorite lock. The Jim Chambers Golden Age flint lock looks very nice on this stock, #LOCK-GA-FR. The square cheek is well defined, and it has very crisp lock panels. Drop is 4" from the line of sights to heel, at 15" of pull. Butt end is 1-1/2" wide by 5-5/16" high, not cut for buttplate.
