Sharps Set Trigger adjustment screw, fits rifles by Shiloh Sharps, C. Sharps, and original rifles, standard #4-40 thread. Notice the correct special head shape, copied from an orignal 1874 Sharps Business Rifle offered on Track's web site.
Easily installed on the 1863 and 1874 Sharps by Pedretti, E.M.F., Marcheno, SILE, I.A.B., Powder River, and other similar Sharps Rifles. Most of these rifles have tiny metric trigger adjustment screws that have the wrong head shape.
Worse, most Italian made replica Sharps rifles have a short trigger adjustment screw, too short to allow adjustment to ZERO. When hunting in cold weather, it is important to turn this screw fully inboard, to disable to set trigger feature, which might cause a premature discharge, if handled with cold numb fingers.
Simply enlarge the hole in your Italian made Sharps using our #DRILL-43 bit, and fresh the threads to #4-40, using our #TAP-4-40-T and our #TAP-W-0 tap wrench. Use a drop of cutting oil, or lard oil, to lubricate the tap while cutting threads.
Insert the screw into your #4-40 threaded hole, between your Sharps set triggers. Latch the triggers, and slowly turn the screw inboard, until the triggers release. Turn the screw outboard one half to one full turn, for safety.
This screw greatly improves the appearance, function, and trigger feel of any Sharps rifle fitted with a "too short" trigger adjustment screw.
