A classic English triggerguard from a London made half-stock fowling gun or sporting rifle. The scroll-loop grip rail was used in the late flint and early percussion era. The bow is large enough for two triggers, but was intended for a single barrel gun. The English rarely used double set triggers, but was popular on German and American rifles. They did use single set triggers on single barreled sporting rifles. Made for use with our English style trigger and plate, shown in the trigger section.
Overall length is 8-3/8", inside trigger bow is 2-3/8" long, and 1-9/16" deep.
