Vegetable Fiber Wads: The vegetable fiber wad is traditional for use in the black powder cartridge rifle, and it is biodegradable, unlike the LDPE wads which will probably never break down. Vegetable fiber wads stay flexible, to seal the bore of the barrel against gas blow-by around the bullet. The inside diameter of your cartridge case should be larger than the groove diameter of your barrel, and your vegetable fiber wad should be a snug fit in your case. Available in .062" (1/16") thickness, in your choice of five popular calibers. Sold in bags of 1000.

Wad Sizing Charts: the wad manufacturer recommends using wads with the same diameter as the bore for Rocky Mountain brass, paper, and plastic. Track of the Wolf produced Parker Bros. marked shotshells require largere wads, refer to the filter or chart for recommended size. MagTech brass require larger wads, refer filter or chart for the recommended size.
